Redesigned PAYE Form 7, Updated Form 2, Accounting Journal Improvements, Timesheet Tagging

Release Versions: 4.55, 4.56, 4.57

Our past 3 releases have focused mainly on GRA reports, and improving the overall functionality of TechlifyHR.

PAYE Form 7 Redesign, Form 2 Updated Specs

GRA release a new design for Form 7. This new format is now implemented in TechlifyHR. There are also updated specifications from GRA for the format of Form 2 – these adjustments have been made in TechlifyHR.

Employee Status Management

You can now add custom employee statuses to TechlifyHR, and specify if employees that are of this status are active or not.

Accounting Journal Report Improvements

We launched this report in our previous release and we’re continuing to make improvements to it. In this sprint, we’ve added various performance improvements and robustness improvements. We’ve also added a host of new fields to this report, these include:

  1. Insurances
  2. Breakdown of Non-Taxable Allowances
  3. Breakdown of Taxable Allowances

Net Deduction Types

We can now categorize net deductions by various types. This list of types is customizable, allowing you to customize this according to your organization’s needs.

These categorizations can also be used to generate various Journal entries in the Accounting Journal Report.

Timesheet Tagging

We’ve added the ability for you to free-type tag your timesheet entries. This functionality is now being introduced in the timesheet form, but we will be expanding it to the timesheet import, and later to the Timesheet listing pages, allowing you to categorize timesheet entries as you may see fit, and then generate various reports based on this tagging.

Minor Feature & Fixes

  1. 2024 Budget Calculations – A preliminary version of the budget adjustments has been added to TechlifyHR. However, these won’t be published until the adjustments have been gazetted.
  2. Accounting Journal New Fields – In the accounting journal report (and export), you now have a host of new fields that can be configured and added. These include Health & Life insurance.
  3. Payroll Reports Permission Improvements – Permissions have been added for the Payroll Journal Report and other Payroll Reports – this allows you to better specify who can access these reports. The default access has been given to roles including the HR Assistant, HR Manager, Payroll Manager, and Payroll Clerk.
  4. Email Subject Adjustment – All emails from TechlifyHR will now have the prefix “[TechlifyHR]”, allowing easy identification and searching of such emails.
  5. Survey Reopen. If you have a survey that was closed and your team decides to reopen, you can now do so in TechlifyHR.
  6. Performance Improvements – We’ve continued to work on various performance improvements in TechlifyHR to ensure your experience is as seamless as possible.
  7. Reliability Improvements – We’ve continued working on various reliability improvements, to ensure that as we build out our product roadmap, new features do not have a negative effect on existing features.
